About me
Hi, I’m Jessica and I love getting out and about with my family in Sussex County. I’m from Rochester, NY (closer to a Finger Lake than the Great Lake) but a new opportunity for my husband led us to the picturesque coastal towns of Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, and Dewey Beach. I spent over 12 years in the classroom as a special education teacher and TESOL educator before staying home to raise my youngest children. I have a love for creating play-based learning opportunities for my children and love finding new spots in Sussex County to foster those occasions. The opportunity to publish for Macaroni KID provides me with the much-needed mental stimulation and break from non-stop snack duty and booger wiping.
For the past 4 years I have called Sussex County my home with my family. I am a mom to a teen, tween, preschoolers, and baby. While jumping from school to the soccer field, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, we have found time to explore the trails, festivals, farmer’s markets, and beaches. I’m excited to share with you all things FUN in and around Sussex County as well as some killer resource guides. As I have a love for learning, I will include some fun educational activities your entire family will enjoy!
When I’m not with my crazy crew, I enjoy hiding at the beach or library with a good book and a cup of coffee.
