Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree after the holidays? ♻️
Here's how to responsibly recycle your real tree:
- Local Farmers: Many local farmers accept Christmas trees for composting or animal feed.
- State Yard Waste Facilities: Find a convenient state yard waste recycling facility near you.
- Curbside Pickup: Contact your waste removal company to inquire about curbside tree pickup. This service may incur an additional fee and require scheduling.
Before disposal:
- Remove all decorations: Take off all lights, ornaments, fake snow, and the tree stand.
Let's give our trees a new life and help the environment! 🌲
Give your Christmas tree a new life! The Delaware Center for Horticulture, DNREC, and Davey Tree Expert Company invite you to 'TreeCycle' on January 4th from 9am-2pm. This free event allows you to recycle your tree into valuable woodchips for use as mulch.
Please note that Delaware State Parks no longer accepts Christmas trees.
Pricing listed is for Christmas trees ONLY.
